I'M IN VENICE!!! (day 2)

I didn't leave the hostel until about 12pm today. I was sorting my bag out and some routes for the rest of my trip.

It was a bit cooler today when I left the hostel and there were even a couple of spots of rain on my way from dropping my bag off at left luggage. It was hot again though by 4pm.

I decided to walk round again and see the couple of sites I missed yesterday and stumbled across a statue of a boy holding a frog. I don't know why it was there, but it came with an armed guard.

I also went back to piazza de st marco and went up the bell tower. I forgot to take a pic on my phone of the view though. Sorry. Here's a picture of the tower again though.

Today's been quite chilled out yet quite annoying. Even though I've been hearing opera and classical music a lot. All I can hear in my head is #chimpanzee riding on a segway!! Google it if you've not heard it.

As well as that I've also been carting around 2 French sticks all day, but not as a fashion statement (this time). I asked the women in the shop for 2 bread roll's, but by the time I'd noticed she'd got 2 3foot french sticks and cut them into 4 halfs for me. Looks like I'm going to be living off bread for a while.

It's 6pm now and I'm going to walk to the hostel I was in to see if I can pick up the wifi from outside to post this blog. If you get it today (12th) then it worked. If you don't, I failed. Then to a pub I've found near the station that is showing the England match. I've walked so much of this place that I could have easily mapped it for google street view.

Laters!
