I'M IN MUNICH!!! (part 2)

What a day!!

I started off (after doing my first Munich blog) just loitering around the train station until the tourist information centre opened beause I had absolutely no idea what there was to do in Munich. It turns out, quite a lot. Unfortunately though (as I found in Amsterdam) you don't get into any museum or major landmark free of charge in Europe. Which is a shame because the contemporary design museum looked brilliant. I suppose we are quite lucky in the UK to have so many free museums to go to. Anyway I was quite glad that I didn't go in the end because I went to the park and it was awesome. First I watched people surfing in the river. THAT'S RIGHT! YOU HEARD! Surfing in the parks river. It looked well fun. If I'd had a surf board, a wet-suit and any sort of surfing skills I have been in there in a flash.

One of the main reasons for wanting to get in, was the fact that it was precisely red-hot degrees celsius. So hot infact, I had to change into my cut-off and and a vest under the cover of a tree. Which to be fair didn't give much cover at all. I expected to hear people screaming whilst shielding there childrens innocent eye's, but no. Remember people I'm in Germany. Most of the swimmers and sunbathers where naked! Not to be left out, I kept to another German tradition by keeping my walking shoes and socks on with my cut-offs...... well I didn't want to look out of place.

I have walked absolutly miles today and my shoulders are acheing because I've had my pack with me all day too.

Munich is an absolutely beautiful place and I would recomend it to anyone. It's a bit flash though so it's not very cheep. I've pretty much lived off tuc biscuits and water - until I accidentily walked about 4 miles in the wrong direction from the train station, which meant I had to figure out the underground and get a metro back. So I decided to by myself a burger king in the station.

I also made friends with a dog called Anton

And also realised that someone keeps pointing out how smart I am

Right. Got to get going sharpish to find out what platform my trains on

PEACE!!

I'M IN MUNICH!!!

I'm doing this now whilst I still have charge on my phone. I'm still in the train station so don't have much to say about Munich yet. If I still have charge on my phone later, I'll probably update again while waiting for my next train.

Amazingly I managed to get the right train last night all by myself. I met 3 Americans on the platform who were from California. Alex, girl (no name given, insert made up name if it helps) and CHAD!! I didn't believe that people called Chad actually existed. They do.

Once we boarded the train I didn't see the American 3 again (we had different compartments)

The compartments were an ok size (seated 6). I thought I was going to have one to myself at first. I thought wrong. Another American. I can't remember his name though - it was quite exotic - his name - not our time together. He was a good laugh, a bit mental but a laugh. He was from Hollywood but now lived in Amsterdam. He was a student at Leeds uni a few years ago, which was quite random, so we had plenty to talk about. We both had a bench of 3 seats to sleep on, but about 10 mins after I'd fallen asleep some more people turned up so we all ended up with a seat each. From about 11pm till 3am I got about 45 minutes sleep so I went to sleep in the bike storage carriage where I could lay down

Managed to get some sleep in here. About 3 hours.

Right. It's 9:30 here now so I'm going to go get some food for the day and then have a walk about.

10-4 over and out.
