I'M IN VENICE!!!

OMG!! what a long day. Seems like a week since I last did a blog.

Well as you have probably guessed, I caught the right train from Munich to Venice. I struck lucky on the train and managed to get three seats to myself in my cabin so sprawled out and slept all the way through. Even to the point of been woken up by the conductor because I was the last person on the train. I didn't believe her though and thought it was some kind of trap. I think I was still half asleep.

Before I fell asleep and as I was coming to Venice, I felt I should do something arty on the train (basically I was board) so I did some photography.

I call this one "sleeping Italian"

I got into Venice at about 7am so there was a lot of time to do stuff in. I tried to check in to my hostel early, but he wasn't having any of it. He even tried to charge me €5 to have a shower so I told him to sod off and went and had a wash at the train station and put my back pack in left luggage.

It was only about 8:30am now and check-in wasn't till 3 so I set of walking. I also started taking pictures of everything that was of interest or that looked nice. "oh That bridge is nice" click "oh so's that one" click. I realised within a few hundred yards that everything is nice. Even the stuff with graffiti on looks good.

I got round nearly all the major landmarks before it was time to check in. Venice is smaller than I thought.

I walked back to my hostel to check-in and things started to get a bit strange. I filled in all the relivent paperwork and payed and then he said "we have a problem". This didn't sound good. He told me that they had a two night minimum policy and I could still stay, but I'd need to send him an email saying I was cancelling. "the computers in the next room". Ok this is getting stranger. Should I send such an email? After sending the email he told me that I'd be staying in another building "not too far away", but not to worry "it's nicer". He then called for his assistant to show me the way, but not before having an argument with him in Italian. I felt like tommy in snatch when the pikies where arguing infront of him about whether to kill him it not :s

It turned out that it was just round the corner and it was nicer, so hey ho. I still think they're part of the mafia though. (it's the one on the right)

There were 3 people already in the room. Another two Americans from California - The lad was called Tucker and I didn't catch the girls name because I was two busy wondering where they get these names from. The 3rd was a lad from japan and he was called.................Neil. I don't know which is more random.

I then walked Venice again. Came back and had some pizza and watched the match and then walked some more. I have literally walked about 25 miles today, and all in flip flops. I'm tired and my feet are sore.

CIAO!

Ps sorry it was a long one tonight. I do miss a lot out to try and keep them short.

Pps just to add to it. Here's some random pics of some fish and chocolate.
